Girlguiding Chooses Girls Over Ideology

Girlguiding, a UK-based organization with approximately 300,000 members and whose mission, “[t]hrough fun, friendship, challenge and adventure” is to “empower girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community,” recently announced that they will no longer admit biological boys who identify as transgender girls. This comes eight months after the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom determined that the 2010 Equality Act’s definition of a woman refers only to their biological sex. In a statement from the Chair of Trustees Denise Wilson, CEO Felicity Oswald and Chief Guide Tracy Foster, who called it a “difficult decision,” said in part:

“From today (2 December) trans girls and young women, and others not recorded female at birth, will no longer be able to join Girlguiding as new young members.”

Gender ideologues were reflexively displeased. Tammy Hymas, policy lead of UK-based trans activist group TransActual, wailed:

“This is yet another horrible act of violence against the most vulnerable trans people for which the government is ultimately responsible. Another trauma that will leave a generation of young LGBTQ+ people scarred for life.” Heavens.

Having girls-only organizations such as Girlguiding isn’t the horrific bigotry it’ being characterized as — it is fundamental safeguarding. Women and girls need separate spaces where they can use restrooms, change clothes, be together and talk freely without a biological male among them, regardless of how he chooses to identify or cosplay. That’s not exclusion, but a primary reason groups like Girlguiding exist. Pretending otherwise and forcing women and girls to bend to a fantastical alternative reality is the actual trauma being inflicted across both Europe and North America.

If there are any real victims with Girlguiding’s decision, it would be the militant activists pushing their self-serving agenda. This affected outrage isn’t about protecting those boys who think they’re girls so much as halting the continuing loss of their social leverage and ideological territory. Despite these theatrics, this commonsense decision isn’t “violence,” which is just more nonsensical, overwrought linguistics weaponized by hysterical leftists whenever they are displeased, which appears to be a near permanent state. Words are “violence.” Silence is “violence.” Not accepting boys is now also “violence.” To then further claim it would leave a generation of LGBTQ+ people scarred for life is yet more performative nonsense, nothing more than empty hyperbole to appease the donors who continue to fund the lifestyle to which they’ve become all too accustomed.

Simply put, there is no such thing as a transgender child. As a popular meme currently circulating aptly states, “A transgender child is like a vegan dog. Everybody knows who made the decision.” That confused young boys and girls are put through severe, lifechanging medical procedures is barbaric child abuse, whose only purpose is to placate neurotic, transhausen-by-proxy parents and the insatiable desires of the professional activist class and gender butchers who profiteer handsomely from the resulting transition. This has nothing to do with the children undergoing these procedures to save them from themselves so much as it is to satisfy the deranged adults forcing their ideology upon them.

The real tragedy is for the gender-dysphoric boys, most of whom, if left alone, would grow up as homosexual men. But for their delusional parents, mentally ill trans activists, and the profiteers in the transgender medical community, these boys would find their way on their own. Girlguiding is correct in their decision to protect biological girls from the rabid ideologues who would corrupt their organization on the altar of gender ideology. May others replicate their courage and quickly follow suit.
